Didn't load properly in Aston2 - all the right hand panel has broken up in bits across the desktop

It's not the broken right panel - it's all the independent floating widgets. You can add right panel and all those widgets onto it. This way they will be shown all together. Also if you don't want your panels configuration to change each time you switch themes - go to Aston2 Preferences -> Panels -> "Save panel layout on theme applying"
