i like the top bar and menus plus the desktop buttons although... with my new moniter i can see everything! and to me it looks like you've ripped that background from somewhere and just photoshopped over maybe a title or some text at the top and bottom... so im afraid the background looks messy, but its nothing that cant be fixed, never the less, its a good attempt and i like it.
