Description: First public AstonShell release, with 4 more to come in quick succession. Beyond the PNG'd AstAmp and clock plugins, it's a pretty basic theme.
BTW: Cerevisiae is a species of yeast commonly used in genetics and molecular biology labs for elucidation of cell-cycle, chromatin remodeling, among other things (I studied genes needed for mitochondrial morphology with this species).

love it ... one of the best themes i've seen here in a while ... can't wait to see the others.

It is a little dark for my liking. The font sizes (especially the active font) make it look a little clumsy for some reason to me (for example, the letters 'M' & 'T' aren't the same size as the other letters.)
I like the Start button, and the color scheme. I love the side toolbars. I wish there were more skins for plugins (top or vert panels). It looks like you spent a ton of time on the AstAmp skin, and less on everything else, and overall, I would say the theme suffered a little for it. Maybe an updated release when you have more time. ;)
Can't wait to see more!

Thanks for the compliments!
Mav- TopPanel and Vertpanel were deliberately unskinned because they made the wallpaper look clumsy. If there were a top-panel plugin that functions as a "Bottom-Panel," it would have been a more suitable choice. As of yet, I have no plans to implement these plugins in this theme for this reason (although they're already implemented in others to be released shortly).
The fonts installed are the standard Aston Font and Hooge. I'm not certain how they don't seem to parse on your system (local issue?) Experiment with font choices, and lemme know what you think works better.

Very good theme. I really like what you did with AstAmp and the Aclock. :) I think your theme will possibly rival my theme when I finally get it all together. ;)

Liderc, I hope your theme is better! It's always nice to have the bar raised :)

Nothing negative to say about this one... It really looks great, and the plugin skins are done very nicely, so it deserves the 10... Greetings,
Michael

There is only one clock appearing on the desktop. Why?
Date:04.09.2004 Name: Rate:
There should only be one clock on the desktop. Another is present in the taskbar for quicker reference.
If you're looking for the desktop WinAmp controls, make sure you have the AstAmp plugin installed.

2 Shadhun: The TopPanel and VertPanel aren't skinned in this theme that's why they don't change.

Saccharomyces cerevisiae is also the most commer yest when they make beer (other 1 is S. carlsbergis...and that is "found" by...brewery ;))
ps. I would never use a wallpaper that reminds me my work :)

E.coli- well said! I didn't know about the carlsbergis species :)

Just wanted to add that you are doing great job with all these skins and I know it take lot of time to do them....I just wish I had that time and patience ;)

Hi v, We like to leave "constructive" criticism here, as opposed to one letter comments and the "middle-finger" of ratings. I'm guessing you rated low because you can't figure out how to install themes, but that's just my guess.

He has struck my Crimson Sword theme a few times. His comment has been removed before, but he came back and did it again. I decided not to bother with such immature people, so I didn't report it again.

This is the best theme ever out so far. I have yet to compare the perfect features of everything. I really enjoy your work! Im still waiting for the second edition to come out, so, I'll keep my eye out for it (I know you'll make another one). Anyways, I have used Aston Shell for quite sometime, and I must say, this is the only theme I use, and will probobly ever use! Good job Mr.Biotech. If you are going to release another version, feel free to email me at robert_w_ark@hackers-home.com, Peace out, -Robert

I run my own nice dark wallpapaer but I love this nice black theme :) Super slick design and toolbar on the top by default (which I love) really makes it perfect. I run it on every Winblowz box I 0wn. Keep up the great work!
