This is super-great looking, but I can't get the network bars to move (it displays the text properly though). Any suggestions?

I would just mess around with the max net speed setting. I have mine set over 1000 at least, but im currently using a different skin.. i would try it in increments of 100 or so until you see definite movement, then increments of 50 or so until you get the desired result.

bars dont seem to show properly in 98...

ditto the last guy. got 98 and only see the outlines. also the ram doesn't show properly and the text doesn't show. currenly working with MAtrix II for Aston theme. (the one with the twins)

Alright.. I think I had a problem like this on my 1st skin, and i believe what had to be done in order to get the 'bars' to show up was to self-edit the main image (the 'frame' if you will) and give it at least a bit of opacity (in otherwords, fill it with a very light white, or very light blue, and set the opacity of if way down.. but as long as something is there, it should fix it)
as for the text.. i would say change the font a few times, change the position a few times, and if nothing helps, take some screenshots and email them to nova_8201@email.com and i'll see if i cant figure out what the deal is (if you go for the shots, dont forget shots of the settings screen for the plugin)

Really good looking skin, though when set to desktop (z-order) the numbers and bars appears only highlighted. I'm using win xp pro sp1 and aston 1.9

I've got the same OS, and I've got SP1. If you set the z-order to normal it should be fine.

Precisely that the issue, the idea is to have it in the desktop so when you minimize all windows you can see it, and setted to on top it covers parts of your applications. Btw: I wrote hilighted but I meant outlined, and numbers are not visible. I changed the colour of the meters and numbers to red but no solution. I really want to use your skin!!

I've got my z-order set to "normal".. not "Desktop", not "Always on top".
if you use always on top, it should show up, but yes, it gets in the way. if you choose desktop, you'll have issues seeing the 'status' bars, and the text wont show up.
BUT if you set it to normal, it should be fine, and it should be visible when you minimize windows, etc.

Sorry to insist, but if you minimize all windows (win Key + M), normal placed plugins also minimize. Otherwise if you are working with several applications, you have to minimize each one till you are able to see the plugins. This issue does not ocurr wih the default skin of a monitor (but I like your's more)

I tried that, (winkey + m) and yes, it does minimize the plugin also. As for why, i dont know. (i've never used the shortcut to minimize all of my windows at once.. never had the need to, and if i did, the show desktop shortcut in the quick launch works just as well.. and it dosnt minimize the plugins)
I've dealt with the problem you're having before, but the work around was always 'z-order set to normal'
if you want a definite fix, i would suggest consulting the forums, and see if anybody knows of anything that would fix it.

cool util...
the only prob i have is with network speed...setting it to 0 lights up only on bar, setting it to 1000 lights up all bars regardless of traffic. any other value doesn't light up any bars...

concerning the network speed... you should try 99999 (5*9) and this is the max so the plugin should be recoded... so everything to 9,9999 KB will show up as some bar's.. everything above is a full circle..

If I set the netspeed to 999 or less, the network bars don't appear, and if I set it to 1000 or higher all the bars go white. I had the same problem with the earlier Zion.

I think the various problems people are having are due to how the plugin itself is coded. (which I as a skin creator can do nothing to affect)
Personally, I have my max net speed set somewhere in the 1000-1100 range, and it works just fine on either plugin. (could be because thats my actual max speed)

I love this skin but I am using Windows ME and have found an issue with it. It seems that the Alpha channel to the main png file is what is stopping the text and bars from being displayed correctly. I can see the text where the alpha channel is but not above the cpu, ram, or net traffic text positions... hope this info helps
