    Description:
    Duality theme for Aston 1.91 and above
    (minimum required version is 1.90, 1.91 is preferred; will not work with earlier versions)
    by SacRat/A.R.T.;
    created with some additional help from other A.R.T. team members and volunteers.

    Duality is the very first theme, created for Aston 1.9.1 and using most of its new features (new Default theme was started many months later).
    A result of my efforts in creating an eye-candy and easy to use theme for Aston, Duality is probably the best theme for daily use. Creating and testing this theme took more, than half a year. For these months it has been redesigned from the scratch for about five times.

    FEATURES:
    -Nice looking and easy to use interface;
    -New Panel plugin allows you to configure your own elements set without breaking anything in design and without a need to define each element's skin manually;
    -All basic Aston elements (Toolbars, Taskbar, Tray, QL, Tray Clock, etc...) are skinned;
    -All popular plugins (Panel, AClock, Disks2, Weather, Resource Monitor...) are skinned;
    -Original package includes AltDesk and Rainmeter skins;
    -Optimized for 1280x1024 resolution, other resolutions should work as well;

    Greets to the following people (in no special order):
    Nick Egorov, Eric Waldman, Rich Kulesus, Scarabee Scara, Dmitry Prosvirnin, Mary Gileva and all other guys and girls, who helped me with their ideas, suggestions and bug reports ;)

    read included readme.txt for details.

    Very clean and simple theme.

    I do, however, have one problem with it:

    For some reason the panel plugin isn't visible. When I go into the plug-ins configuration mode, everything appears as it should (fonts, colors, etc) but the panel itself never shows.

    Perhaps it's the "Skin Items" name? Or the "Panel Items?"

    I've used the Aston Desktop 1.9.1 theme which also uses the panel plugin, and I haven't had a problem with it, so it must be the configuration somehow.

    Any help?

    Oops, forgot to add my rating.

    Another thought on the panel problem:

    I can load the Aston Desktop 1.9.1 theme's panel, and I figured I could edit and replace that information with the settings from your plugin, however the "edit skin" button didn't do anything when pressed.

    Perplexing, Aston usually works flawlessly for me. ;(

    OKAY OKAY last comment, I swear ;D

    I ended up just transfering all the panel plugin info to a new top panel. Sort of a step backwards, but it works and now I can fully enjoy the entire theme.

    Good job, can't wait to see the next!

    Thanks for your comments, Someguy.
    I'm glad you like it.
    Don't know if it helps, but panel items are named DualityP and skin items are DualityPanel. e-mail me if you still have a problem: I'll send you the APC file.

    I guess I have problems similar to Someguy. Some plugins simply doesn't get loaded correctly. For me, the clock does appear, even though it appears in the plugin setting menu. The other items on the desktop simply don't show up (I guess it includes a trash can and link to computer, I can only guess because the screenshot is too small and they never appear on my desktop). The last thing is about the weather plugin, does it come with the sun and cloud icon or not? Only the text section got loaded on my desktop.

    I'm using Aston 1.9.1, 1024x768 desktop. Any help will be appreciated.

    M.B.

    I found the clock once I resized my screen to 1280x1024 from 1024x768. I right clicked to change the properties to an "unlocked" position. Then I just dragged it over, resized my screen back to 1024x768, and relocked the postion of the clock. I don't know if it will solve your problem, but maybe it will. Just now started using the theme, so I can't accurately rate it yet!

    Great, few probelms for me, the weather wouldn't change, and the clock wont show up, but i think thats my fault, i'll try and fix it. Also can you make a astamp skin to match?

    I have already made a corresponding AstAMP skin, but it was not included into the final package. However if someone is interested, I may share it...

    Great theme! I have a question though. The skin in the picture for the DisksEX plugin was not included. the file I though it would be (disks2_dual.png) was the one for the Recycle Bin. Any way I can get the pictured skin? Thanks!

    Is the weather icon just a skin to Aweather or is it a plugin?
    If it is a plugin, whats the name of it?

    It's one of the very few skins that actually works as an OS Theme. Many skins are pretty, some are awesome as pieces of art BUT IT DOESN'T MAKE THEM GOOD AS OS screens. OS screeens should be clean, but still eyecandy and not overloaded with zillions of "cool" lines and shapes. I hate "artists" who waste their time overloading their themes with such "cool features". And i completly don't understand people admiring their job (in context of OS SCREENS).
